Hiring Manager
Brodie Cashmere
Leeds, Yorkshire, UK

Dear Hiring Manager,

I am writing to express my interest in the Knitwear Designer position at Brodie Cashmere. With extensive experience in quality assurance, team leadership, and design-driven environments, combined with a deep passion for craftsmanship and innovation, I am excited about the opportunity to contribute to your modern, luxury knitwear collections. Your commitment to empowering the Brodie woman through joyful, expressive, and colour-driven design strongly aligns with my own creative values.

During my time at Alpha Club Fashion Designers (2017–2019), I built strong technical expertise by ensuring consistency, precision, and compliance throughout the production process. My responsibilities included inspecting raw materials, comparing finished products to original patents, and implementing solutions that improved product quality. This experience sharpened my eye for detail, garment integrity, and construction—skills that are essential when collaborating with factories and maintaining design accuracy in knitwear development.

Prior to this, as Head of Department at B&B Collection (2007–2017), I led teams, set strategic goals, and drove departmental productivity while upholding the highest standards of quality control. I developed strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills, all of which are crucial when supporting design teams, managing independent projects, and adhering to critical paths—key expectations of the role at Brodie.

Beyond my technical and managerial background, I bring a strong creative identity grounded in sustainability, innovation, and user-centred design. I am a visionary thinker who approaches fashion as a form of communication, community building, and future-shaping. My brand values—clean, modern aesthetics and conscious design—align naturally with Brodie’s focus on premium fibres, contemporary silhouettes, and global market reach.

I am particularly excited by the opportunity to:

  • Contribute to the creation of expressive, trend-driven knitwear collections
  • Conduct research to identify key shapes, stitch techniques, and colour palettes
  • Translate concepts into CAD designs using Adobe Creative tools
  • Collaborate closely with overseas factories to support smooth production processes
  • Work within a growing brand where creativity, autonomy, and innovation are encouraged

With my technical foundation, leadership experience, and forward-thinking creative identity, I am confident in my ability to bring added value, strong discipline, and fresh perspective to the Brodie design team.

Thank you for taking the time to consider my application. I would welcome the opportunity to discuss how my skills, vision, and experience align with Brodie’s ongoing growth and knitwear innovation. I look forward to the possibility of contributing to a brand that is shaping the future of modern luxury knitwear.

Warm regards,
Ana Pircan
